Gladiators at Abbotsinch, according to Craig, Whitty states Acklington 1939.

Squadrons first war casualty, Alan Otho Glover killed, October 29, 1939 when his Gladiator, K7997, collided with Gladiator of Harry Radcliffe. Aircraft crashed into Swarland Dene.
